How can it be that summer is almost over? It truly flew by this year. September is a great time to visit the farmers market because the produce is overflowing with colorful possiblities. The tomatoes are in their prime as are sweet peppers, plums and end of the season peaches and nectarines.

I am looking forward to spending some time in the kitchen enjoying the end of the summer season. If you have a chance try the Roasted Summer Tomatoes or Corn and Tomato Gazpacho, both crowdpleasers.

I am so excited that my Seriously Simple Deck of Cards will be released next month. Each card has a photo on the front and the recipe on the back. I think it would make a great holiday gift for cooks who work or who have little time. I imagine that the card reader can stop by the market with the card(s) in hand, pick up the essential groceries and easily put the dish together.
